The View

The View transforms an imagined place of refuge into an abstract field of colour, movement and light. Deep blues open into shifting greens, turquoise, blues, red and white, suggesting water, vegetation and reflections without resolving into a fixed landscape.

Built through layered, intuitive marks, the surface allows earlier colours to remain present beneath later gestures, creating a view that changes with distance and light. Rather than depicting a particular home, the work offers the feeling of one—a space of shelter, stillness and permission to rest.
